KERNEL FARMS
-
Kernel Farms is a glamping resort in Goshen, New York, conceived as a hospitality destination for families and multi-generational visitors. The project combines nature, wellness, and education, offering immersive experiences that foster ecological awareness and sustainable living. Children engage with agriculture through interactive playgrounds, farming activities, and workshops on food and environmental stewardship, while adults enjoy wellness programs including thermal pools, treatment rooms, and sensory spaces designed for rest and recovery.
The masterplan integrates architecture with the site’s ecological context: a wetland crossed by timber walkways and geodesic domes for accommodation, a central circular building housing communal programs, and 43 timber-and-cork A-frame cabins nestled in the forest canopy. Elevated structures on pilotis minimize environmental impact and preserve local biodiversity.
More than a resort, Kernel Farms serves as a model for regenerative tourism, merging traditional knowledge and innovative practices to create a place where all generations can connect with nature, each other, and the principles of sustainability.
